THIS RECIPE IS:

  • No Bake

  • Possibly without added refined sugar

  • Super simple to make

  • Includes only 3 ingredients

  • Fun to make for Easter

  • Great DIY candy to make with kids

Vegan Chocolate Coconut Nests

6 nests

INGREDIENTS:

3.6 dl (1.5 cups) roasted or natural coconut chips*

200 g optional chocolate

vegan Easter eggs candy of some kind

HOW TO MAKE:

  • If your coconut chips are roasted you can skip the first two steps.

  • If you coconuts aren’t roasted, heat oven to 200 degrees C (390 F).

  • Spread out the coconut chips on a lined baking sheet. Place them in the oven for approx 4’, until goden brown, but keep an eye on them so they don’t get burned.

  • When your coconut chips are roasted let them cool completely before placing them in a bowl.

  • Melt the chocolate, preferably over a heat resistant bowl over hot simmering water, and add that to the bowl too. Combine thoroughly.

  • Use an ice cream scoop and scoop out “nests” and place on a lined tray, sheet or plate. Use a small spoon and spread them out a bit, “moulding” them to nests.

  • Garnish with some Easter eggs and then place in the fridge for approx 30’ until completely set.
