Chili Fried Tiger Prawns

If you like prawns and like some spicy food, you just need to try these out!

Oh, how delicious they are and they really just melt in your mouth! Great appetizer, luxurious side for fancy drinks, have them over an Asian style salad or serve them as a part of a buffet when having people coming over for celebration. They are spicy but it’s so delicious to garnish with some lemon drops and sea salt, or make a fresh sour cream dip on the side and dip the prawns into the dip. Yum!


THIS RECIPE IS:

  • Egg Free

  • Spicy but feels fresh

  • Great as a side dish, as a delicious, fancy appetizer or a side for luxurious drinks

  • Simple to make

  • Only takes a few minutes to make them


Chili Fried Tiger Prawns

INGREDIENTS:

350 g tiger prawns or ordinary shrimps*

1 small fresh chili

1 small garlic clove

1 tsp grated ginger

1 tsp cumin

Cooking oil and/or butter

Chopped fresh cilantro or parsley

Sea Salt

Lemon Juice

HOW TO MAKE:

  • Finely chop the chili, garlic and grate the ginger.

  • Heat up a frying pan with some cooking oil and/or butter and fry the chili, garlic and ginger. Add the cumin and fry all together for 1 minute.

  • Add the prawns and fry for 2 minutes until they have gotten some color. Finish with some finely chopped cilantro or parsley, lemon juice and sea salt.

NOTE:

  • You can use frozen prawns but it’s important that they have fully thawed before cooking
