Why is (Chocolate) porridge the best?

I have grown up with porridge but not exactly the chocolate porridge. First thought might be that this is unhealthy and not something you'd like to eat the first thing in the morning, think again. I'm only using natural products in this recipe without any refined sugar included. The recipe is vegan and can be made gluten free if you choose to pick gluten free oats.

THIS RECIPE IS:

  • Vegan

  • Sugar Free

  • Chocolatey

  • Perfect for those who like sweet breakfasts

  • Perfect for those who are tired of the ordinary breakfast and want something new

Chocolate Porridge

INGREDIENTS:

1 dl oats

2,5 dl oat milk (or other plant based milk)

a pinch of real vanilla

1 tsp cacao

1 tbsp nut butter of choice (can be excluded)

approx 5-10 stevia drops with natural, chocolate or caramel flavor, OR 1 tsp agave syrup

HOW TO MAKE:

  • Bring your oats to a boil with the oat milk in a small sauce pan. Lower the heat to medium and remaining ingredients. Stir everything together with a spoon so that it doesn't set.

  • Serve when the porridge has the texture you want it to have. Garnish with for instance creamy tahini, coconut flakes, oat milk and a spoon of chocolate hazelnut butter.
