Protein Rich Vegan Halloween Smoothie
Happy Spooky Season!
Tomorrow is Halloween, and even though Halloween will look different for most of us worldwide this year, I couldn’t resist getting a little bit into Halloween feeling myself and give myself this halloween strawberry smoothie! Because honestly, I believe that you should take the possibilities in your life and celebrate life a little bit, even if it’s just with simple things as doing your everyday smoothie just a little bit “Halloweeny”. We don’t even celebrate Halloween a lot in Sweden, when it is even “normal”, but I love to celebrate no matter with small things like these!
So that takes me to today’s smoothie…
So that takes me to today’s smoothie…
…Because if there’s one thing I get a lot of questions about it is about protein rich snacks, and especially protein rich VEGAN snacks (and food in general). I have discussed proteins before and you can read about it ALL in this “if you can get enough proteins from veg. sources” post here, and one day (hopefully soon) I will give you a very thorough and well explained post with various recipes and protein rich snacks. I promise, it’s coming! But until that day, I want to give you a simple made and protein rich strawberry smoothie!
This strawberry smoothie is simple to make and is great to drink as a snack, as pre workout or even after workout. I have made it more suiting for halloween, adding some death skulls ice cubes, but that is obviously not necessary in case you don’t want to.
Plantbased milk or yoghurt?
You can choose whatever you like really. The yoghurt makes the smoothie more thick and creamier, while the milk does it more “light”. Pick whatever you like the most.
