Healthy Banana Split
I go “Bananas” over you.
I am obsessed with this fresh and healthy version of banana split. This version of banana split is made with fresh fruits, Greek (or Turkish) yoghurt, honey and some granola instead of ice cream, chocolate sauce and lots of sugar bombed ingredients. This version will be one of my favourite breakfast - or snack meals - to eat during the summer for sure.
If you would like to make it into more of a dessert version, you can serve with ice cream or Greek yoghurt, have nuts instead of granola and drizzle some melted dark chocolate on top. Add more fruits and berries of choice if you want to. So delicious!
What does “healthy” mean?
The word “healthy” is a very broad word and can mean many different things depending on who interpret it and when it’s used. In this context, “healthy” means that we use nutritious and fresh ingredients for the recipe, that are good for our bodies longterm. Since this has these nutritious ingredients, you can eat this for breakfast, as a snack or even as a dessert.
Add more fruits and berries of choice if you want to
Preferably use a granola with clusters, or use nuts. Here’s a delicious recipe of Almond Granola Clusters.
