Start eating pralines on a Monday and I’m sure Mondays won’t feel so bad after all.

I don’t only love creating new recipe and testing new flavor and ingredient combinations, I also love to be creative in the kitchen with tools, and find various kitchen hacks to make my recipes perfect. This time I have sed an ice cube tray to make pralines, and i’m so excited to show you this recipe!

Are we really using an… ice cube tray?

Yes, we are! What’s positive when using an ice cube tray is that all your bites/pralines become the exact same size and form. Also, most people have an ice cube tray at home, so you don’t have to go to a store to buy a “real” praline pan. What’s also good is that when using an ice cube tray, is that you can store your praline sin them until they set thoroughly in the freezer. This means that there’s no chance of the liquid or filling to run out.

So what does my pralines taste like?

My pralines are a simple chocolate, peanut and peanut butter mix which make these bites, kind of, tasting like a version of snickers! These bites are so delicious!

THIS RECIPE IS:

  • Vegan

  • Sugar Free

  • Gluten Free

  • Egg Free

  • A nice combination of soft and crunchy

  • Small bites perfect when having a sweet tooth

Chocolate and Peanut Butter Pralines

INGREDIENTS:

70 g dark chocolate

1/2 dl peanuts

approx 2-3 tbsp peanut butter (ordinary or with mild chili flavor)

approx 2 tbsp agave syrup

HOW TO MAKE:

  • Melt chocolate in a bowl over hot simmering water.

  • Pour some chocolate into every "cube" in an ice cube tray, but keep some of the chocolate til the end too. "Wag" the ice cube tray side to side so the melted chocolate cover all the inner sides of the tray.

  • Chop the peanuts to smaller pieces and fill each cube with some few peanuts in the bottom. Add thereafter just a little bit of peanut butter and at last a little bit of agave syrup. End with a last layer of melted chocolate.

  • Do this with all of the cube "holes" in the ice cube tray and place in the freezer.

  • You can store these in the freezer until serving. Then you pour some hot water at the back of the ice cube tray and press out the chocolate pralines.
