Pear Porridge Bowl with Cinnamon, Hazelnuts and Peanut Butter
Fall is my second favorite F-word. Food is my first.
We are getting closer to true autumn weather (at least in Sweden) and it’s time to start getting into that cozy autumn mood with knitted sweaters, tea, Netflix, lit candles and cozy comfort food. Personally, I tend to struggle eating cold breakfasts during this time of the year. It’s just a completely different feeling eating a warm breakfast (bowl or similar) compared to a cold breakfast when it being cold outdoors too. My mom’s pear trees are blooming so I took some of her autumn pears and wanted to create something delicious, warm and comforting for breakfast this morning - and what better than making a porridge out of it? This pear porridge is sweeter than usual porridge and is very nicely combined with cinnamon, a salted nut butter, plant based milk of choice and more - if you want to.

1 dl fiber, gf or ordinary oats
1 rather small ripped pear
2,5 dl plantbased milk of choice
1 tsp coconut oil, can be excluded
a pinch of real vanilla powder
HOW TO MAKE:
Grate the pear and place it in a small saucepan together with the oats.
Add the milk, coconut oil and vanilla powder and stir everything together until the coconut melts thoroughly.
Serve directly preferably at least with cinnamon and some kind of nut butter. That suits very well.
