Hot Gingerbread Drinks for Cold Days.

It’s not hot cocoa. Obviously it’s not milk. This is not a latte either. Well then, what should I call this drink? When I think “drink” I think about cold beverages, but maybe that’s just me? Nonetheless, today I want to talk about my delicious vegan HOT gingerbread drink. No chocolate, no coffee and no milk is included, just three ingredients of other yumminess! Preferably garnish your gingerbread drink with vegan whip cream if you like (like I have done - over filled) and garnish with gingerbread crumbs, because then you will be really ready to face this winter darkness and cold!

It’s very simple to make Gingerbread spice on your own

If you don’t have access to buy gingerbread spices you can simply just make it yourself. It’s very simple and all you need to do is combine 2 tbsp ground cinnamon, 2 tbsp ground ginger, 1.5 tbsp ground cardamom and 1.5 tbsp ground clove in a bowl. Then you’re done and can use it to your gingerbread recipes of optional kind.

THIS RECIPE IS:

  • Vegan

  • Without refined white sugar

  • Gluten free (if your oat milk is gluten free)

  • Simple to make

  • Perfect variation from ordinary hot cocoa

  • A must to make this Christmas Season in the cold

HOW TO MAKE:

  • Place the agave in a small sauce pan and turn on the heat. When the agave have melted thoroughly (usually only takes a few sec) pour in the oat milk and whip down your gingerbread seasoning.

  • Pour it over in a cup as soon as the seasoning is mixed and the drink is hot.

  • If you'd like, also garnish with vegan whip cream and gingerbread crumbs.
