4 ingredients deliciousness coming your way!

Today I want to give you an Oreo pie which is completely vegan and which only consists of four ingredients. It’s very simple to make and very festive. Since Oreos aren’t sugar free, this pie isn’t that either but health for me is being able to eat foods like this too now and then. Relax, don’t stress and just enjoy the dessert!

Yes, you can freeze it!

This recipe is made in the freezer so what is extra good with this recipe, is that you can prepare or complete it entirely the day before you want to serve it and theater just simply have it stored in the freezer. This is perfect if you for instance have friends and family coming over to your place, will be stressed and don’t want to leave the dessert until last minute. You can prepare/make the dessert since the day(s) before and have it done in the freezer.

Oreo Pie

INGREDIENTS:

200 g Oreos with xtra filling

50 g vegan butter

dl vegan whipcreme

100 g dark chocolate*

Optional for garnishing:

1/2 dl vegan whip creme

more oreos for garnishing

HOW TO MAKE:

  • Mix your cookies in a blender until crumbs.

  • Melt the butter in a small sauce pan and stir with the Oreo crumbs.

  • Press out this mixture evenly in a pie shape with loose bottom. Be sure your press it out thoroughly, also on the edges. Thereafter, put the pie in the freezer.

  • Cut your chocolate into smaller pieces and place in a bowl.

  • Pour the whip cream into a small sauce pan and heat. Be cautious it doesn't boil over and/or burn in the bottom. As soon as it starts simmering pour the cream over your chocolate pieces and stir with a spoon until the chocolate is melted and a chocolate ganache is made.

  • Take out the pie shape from the freezer and spread over the ganache. Place it thereafter in the freezer again for at least 4 hours(or overnight).

  • Before serving, garnishing for instance with vegan whip creme (it's not necessary but beautiful) and more Oreo cookies.

NOTES:

  • IMPORTANT. Your dark chocolate shouldn't be more than 70% and it should be sweetened because otherwise it will get too bitter. Alternatively you can use half dark chocolate and half "milk" chocolate, or chocolate sweetened with stevia.
