Dream in colors…

…. and eat in color! I made these colorful bliss balls a while ago but the taste turned out fantastic and I still remember them like it were yesterday. You only need five ingredients to make these delicious and beautiful bliss balls. You also get a nice surprise eating these bliss balls, because they are colored in various colors on the inside! I love that they are soft on the inside but the dark chocolate give them a hard surface on the outside.

How do I color the bliss balls?

You can use spirulina powder for green, açaí powder for purple, dragonfruit powder for pink and turmeric for yellow. Otherwise you can color with for instance blueberry, raspberry, beetroot or other similar. I used green spirulina powder, dragonfruit powder and acai powder for my three colors/ flavors. I used maximum of 1 tsp of each powder which I thereafter stirred around with the vegan milk (you can read the recipe in the next paragraph).

THIS RECIPE IS:

Colorful Bliss Balls with Dark Chocolate

approx 6-7 balls

INGREDIENTS

1 dL fiber or gf oats
30 g peanut butter *
20 g agave syrup or honey
a pinch of real vanilla powder
1 tbsp vegan milk + coloring **

approx 100 g dark vegan chocolate

HOW TO MAKE

  • Mix all ingredients, except for the milk + coloring, into a sticky dough.

  • If you want these bliss balls to be completely raw food, skip heating the milk. Otherwise, heat your vegan milk and stir around your own choice of "color"; blueberries, acai, spirulina or turmeric depending on what color you'd like. Add this mixture to the dough and mix around thoroughly.

  • If you want to have many doughs in different colors re-do these steps a few times in the colors you want to have your bliss balls.

  • Roll balls. of the dough Place them in the freezer for 10’ and meanwhile, melt the chocolate over water bath.

  • Dip your cold bliss balls into the melted chocolate. Let them set on a baking paper lined plate/ sheet/ tray or similar. Place them in the fridge until set before serving.

  • Then it's just to dig in! If you make several flavors/colors it's a nice surprise to see which flavor you have received when biting the balls

NOTES:

  • *f you’re peanut butter is unsalted, add a small pinch of sea salt too.

  • ** Read the previous paragraph to read about how to color your balls.
