Where to Eat when in Copenhagen? Halifax Burgers

“Eat Clean. Stay Fit. And have a Burger to stay Sane” - Gigi Hadid.

About a week ago I left my loved Greece to meet up my hubby in Copenhagen. We lived in an Airbnb-apartment in the middle of the city, and spent two entire days in the city going for long walks, exploring the city, talking, laughing and just being together. Both me and hubby love food so when being abroad, we like trying out new restaurants and places of food. This time we went for something both of us like. I’m talking about burgers, and more precisely delicious burgers from Halifax Burgers.

This post is in collaboration with Halifax Burgers but all opinions, text and content is by me.

HALIFAX BURGERS is a Danish burger restaurant with over 10 restaurants in Copenhagen. Me and hubby went to visit one of the restaurants in the city, on Larsbjornstade, which is a rather small place but with cool and nice urban vibes. As you probably can tell by the name, Halifax offers hamburgers which are made from scratch by themselves and where they also to the furthest extent always use organic ingredients. Even their chicken is Halal certified. They also have drinks and beers, which also makes Halifax a nice place to visit for pre-drinks if you want to avoid louder bars, and instead choose something more relaxed which also has food available!

OUR FOOD CHOICES:

We were really hungry when we went to visit Halifax Burgers. I had been recommended to try the vegan burger so that became my first choice; the Berlin Burger with vegan beetroot burger with chili fried mushrooms, vegan cheese, pickles, salad, red onion, red mojo and tomato salsa. My boyfriend eats a lot of food and went for something completely different; their Zihuatanejo Burger with 2 x 250 beef burger and all the yummy accompanying ingredients. As side dishes we shared sweet potato fries with chipotle mayonnaise, and a nacho plate with tomato salsa, sour cream and guacamole.

I deeply recommend the beetroot burger! It was a lot more juice than I had expected, and after seeing my hubby having guacamole on his burger I know I also will add that to mine the next time. Sweet potato fries are always delicious, no matter where I have been and eaten them, and these were too. The nacho plate were good too but just be sure you eat the nachos before it cools. Because cold cheese on nacho chips are no fun to eat.

PRIZES:

A standard burger costs approx 95-120 DK (ca 135-170 SEK) which is pretty much the same price as in Sweden. The difference here and the burgers in Sweden were that the servings were really big here, meaning that you get a lot of food for the prize. I love that!

SUMMARY:

This is a cool and chill place for those who love different kinds of burgers but at the same time like to fix and mix by your own. You have the possibility of picking both the fillings and your bun for your burger, except the side dishes too of course. They also have many great vegan and vegetarian substitut for the burger, This is therefore a very suiting place for everyone!
