Your next chapter is going to be amazing.

This was a good idea. A really good idea. Nice Cream (Banana/ Nana Ice Cream) with tahini, walnuts and honey/agave syrup. Yes yes yes! I love making new, innovative and delicious nice cream flavors, and this new nice cream flavor has to be one of my favorites. The combination of the ice cream with tahini, walnuts and honey/agave syrup just reminds me so much of Greece, and it is a winning combination!

If you haven’t ever made nice cream before…

I also have to say that Banana ice cream/ Nana Ice Cream / Nice Cream is so simple to make and yet so delicious. You simply just take your ripped brown bananas, slice them and place them in an airtight container, place in the freezer and let them freeze. Thereafter you just mix the banana slices with optional flavor (like cacao, berries, vanilla or tahini like today!), until it’s completely creamy and lump free. It is so simple to make and yet so delicious! Nice cream is also completely sugar free (from refined white sugar), it’s healthy and you can eat loads of it as a treat!

PS. since you also take advantage of the brown-ish bananas you otherwise would have thrown away, banana ice cream is also good for the environment since you are decreasing the food waste.

THIS RECIPE IS:

  • Vegan

  • Sugar Free

  • Creamy with a little bit of crunch

  • Simple to make

  • Only a few ingredients are needed

  • Can be eaten with or without the ice cream cone

You have to take photos real quick when making ice cream during the summer season so it doesn’t melt away. Just a few seconds after taking photos of my tahini nice cream cone, it became a tahini nice cream cone bowl instead.

Tahini Nice Cream Cone with Walnuts and Honey

INGREDIENTS:

approx 250 g frozen bananas

1 tbsp vegan Greek or Turkish Yoghurt

1/2 tbsp tahini + a little bit extra for garnishing

a tiny pinch of salt

a little bit of agave syrup or honey

approx 6 walnuts

1 ice cream cone

HOW TO MAKE:

  • Mix the bananas, yoghurt, 1 tbsp of tahini and a tiny pinch of salt thoroughly together until completely creamy and lump free. This usually takes a few minutes and you might need to stir it around now and then if the mixer gets stuck.

  • Cut o crush the walnuts to smaller pieces. Add these to the nice cream and combine it all in a few big takes with a spoon.

  • Serve the nice cream directly in a bowl or in a ice cream cone. Garnish with a little bit of agave syrup or honey, and some extra walnuts if you want to.
